This week, we will be running from Columbia Marina Island @ 7:00 AM ET on Saturday, September 19th. The coaches will be Nick and Sundar.

Meeting Point: the parking lot of Columbia Island Marina, accessible from the GW Parkway southbound, between Memorial Bridge and the 14th Street Bridge.
There is plenty of parking at the Marina.
Beware that you can only get into the CIM entrance from the southbound lanes of GW Parkway. If you come onto the Parkway from Alexandria, or from the 14th Street Bridge, you will need to ride the spaghetti ramps near Memorial Bridge until you find the exit for “Alexandria – Reagan National Airport -Parkway South”

Reminder: We require runners to carry fluids, as we get into the slog months of summer and increase training distances. Please carry your own fluids!
Distance: The scheduled mileage is 12 miles for marathon trainees and 12 miles for the half-marathon trainees.
Full and Half marathoners (12 miles) will run out of CIM and turn north on Mount Vernon Trail to go upriver. We will run 1 mile and turn around at Memorial Bridge and run south towards Alexandria staying on the Mount Vernon Trail. We will run to Canal Center Plaza in Alexandria and turn around and return to CIM.
Aid stations: We will have an Aid Station at the end of Gravelly Point Parking lot. The 2nd Aid Station will be at Daingerfield Island.
