The MCC Summer Training Program is back for another year!!!
Welcome to our new runners and welcome back to our veterans!
We’re really looking forward to seeing you all Saturday for the first training run of 2025!
On Saturday, May 3rd, we’ll be starting from Lock 6 on the C&O towpath @ 8 AM ET. The coaches will be Cathy and Kirk.
Sign Up: PLEASE sign-up for each training run so the host charity knows how much food to bring. Please click on the following link and enter your information. Please Sign Up by Thursday (5/01) at Noon.
Register: If you haven’t already done so, please register for the 2025 Summer Training Program so that you remain on our email list after week 3. Please click on the following link.
Seminar: Coaches Vandana and Nick will be giving the program overview.
Directions to the Lock 6 parking lot: Here is a link to the Lock 6 Parking Lot.
Aid Stations: There will be aid at home base.
Distance: The scheduled mileage is 3 miles for marathon trainees and 2 miles for the half-marathon trainees.
Route:
Full Marathoners:
3 miles: we’ll walk out to the C&O towpath and turn right from our starting point. We will run 1.5 miles out and then return to Lock 6.
Half Marathoners and 10 Milers :
2 miles: we’ll walk out to the C&O towpath and turn right from our starting point. We will walk/run 1 mile out and then return to Lock 6.
