This week, we will be running from Columbia Marina Island @ 8:00 AM ET on Saturday, May 31st. The coaches will be Vandana and Sundar.
Sign Up: PLEASE sign-up for each training run. Please click on the following link and enter your information. Please Sign Up by Thursday (5/29) at Noon.
Meeting Point: the parking lot of Columbia Island Marina, accessible from the GW Parkway southbound, between Memorial Bridge and the 14th Street Bridge.
There is plenty of parking at the Marina.
Beware that you can only get into the entrance from the North. If you come onto the Parkway from Alexandria, or from the 14th Street Bridge, you will need to ride the spaghetti ramps near Memorial Bridge until you find the exit for “Alexandria – Reagan National Airport -Parkway South”

Aid Stations: There will be an Aid Station at Gravely Point.
Distance: The scheduled mileage is 7 miles for marathon trainees and 4 miles for the half-marathon trainees.
Route:
Full Marathoners: 7 miles: Runners will leave CIM and go North 1 mile on the Mount Vernon Trail, then will turn around and go 3.5 miles South on the Mount Vernon Trail, then turn around and return to home base.
Half Marathoners: 4 miles: Runners will leave CIM and go South about a half mile past Gravely Point where the turn around will be marked and then return to home base.
