Chirag Mehta
Chirag has run seven marathons, including five marathons and two Ironman triathlons (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run in one day).
Growing up, he did not participate in competitive athletics, and during college had a 34" waist and around 25% body fat. He decided to make lifestyle changes, and subsequently found his passions in running, cycling, and hiking. His first marathon was a 3:43 at the 2000 Houston marathon, and his personal best time is 2:40 at the 2006 Chicago marathon, in 34 degree weather and 20 mph winds. He ran the 2005 Boston marathon in 2:43, and ran the marathon leg of the 2005 Quelle Challenge Ironman triathlon in 3:09 in Roth, Germany - fast enough on its own to qualify for Boston!
